♥ Not happy...

I am feeling emo again...
coz I think he don't treat me seriously...
I don't like it when I am asking him a serious question, he just gave me lame answers or start making funny comments or actions...
I seriously don't like it...
He doesn't stop when I told him that I am asking him something serious..
argh.. it pissed me off.. really...

If he doesn't treat me seriously, then forget it...
I would waste my breath on him anymore..
I am so sick of giving in to him already...
It's time that he starts giving in to me or rather listening to my thoughts and feelings...

Why is it that guys deteriorate rapidly after courtship?
It sux!
If they think that there is no need to please the girl anymore since they are already together, then I think they deserved to dumped..
It takes effort from both parties to build the relationship.. so if their peanut brain still don't understand this after 32 yrs, I have nothing to say...

It just sux!!

It sux that the guy u love is not taking u seriously...
It sux that the guy knows what u like and what u want, but still not doing so...
It sux that whenever you tell them a problem, they just say that you think too much...
It sux that other guys know you and please you more than he does...
It just sux!

I don't like the feeling of being insecure...

So if you can't love me that much, then don't waste my love and my chance of being loved by someone else...

♥ Weekend again~

15 Aug 09

Such a rainy Saturday...
Felt so sleepy and lethagic..

Went to Leraine's (Dragon's daughter) 1st bday party @ Blue Horizon Condo in West Coast.
I had always wanted to take a look in the blue condo since many years ago, and finally I had the chance to do so~
But the interior of the condo doesn't really appeal to me..
Nothing fantastic... I think the Kovan Melody's design is nicer~ At least the pool layout is fantastic in Kovan Melody~

After arriving the poolside party, me and baby joined Adrian and Lynn~ Dragon was busy entertaining the guests and Leraine had yet to arrive~
Soon the place was flooded with kids and babies...
Suddenly it looked like childcare centre... =____="
*stressed*
I seriously can't stand many kids hovering around me...
Lynn was 5 mths pregnant and she enjoyed looking at the babies especially the boys.. Coz she was expecting a baby boy, so she paid more attention to how the baby boys are dressed..

Lynn's tummy looked pretty small for a 5 mth.. looks more like a 3 mth pregnancy, but since she is skinny in nature, so I guess that's why the tummy is small too..
Lynn said that she did want to over eat coz it would be easier to undergo natural birth if the baby isn't too big..
=)
It would be 4 more months and the baby would be born!
*excited for her*

It started to pour heavily after a while... and when the rain stopped, we had Leraine's cake cutting ceremony~
I bet she didn't know what's going on since she is only 1 years old.. =)
Her cake (castle design) is beautiful~

After the party, we went back to baby's place to play games..
He played his xbox while I play Sorority Life on Facebook.
I am so addicted to Sorority life!! hahaa...
Too bad my Sims 3 is not working.. otherwise I would be playing it from morning till night!
Adrian said that I need to do something to the crack file.. well.. I shall wait for baby to help me with it..
=)

16 Aug 09

It's 16 Aug already! I am going to have my 1st test on 20 Aug...
Well I guess I had better start studying!
Too bad I have monitoring on 19 and 20 Aug...
Surely I will be damn tired!

Today is another lazy rainy day...
Had Mutabak for brunch with baby at Bukit Batok..
Then head back to his place to play games again~
Only went to Farmart to meet Adrian and Lynn for prawning~
Surprizingly, they are interested in trying out prawning =)
So we prawned for 2 hrs... I caught 11 while Adrian and Lynn caught only 2~

It started to rain, so we stopped prawning and headed for dinner at the stall beside the prawn farm.
Had bbq chicken wings ($1/each), stingray ($12) and kangkong ($9) for dinner~ Yumz yumz~~
Finally the rain stopped...
We didn't continue to prawn, so we parted and went home again..
What a lazy day...

We end the day with more games and TV...
I hope next weekend we could go K Lunch~ That's if I could wake up on time.. *Fingers crossed*

♥ My Melaka Trip 08-10 Aug 09

08 Aug 09

I set my alarm clock at 7am.. but I only woke up after baby called me at 7.40am..
He said that he's coming over to pick me up..
=___="
So I quickly rushed to wash up and bath and pack my bag.. (I hadn't pack my bag coz I was slacking the previous night. =P)

Finally I lugged my pillow, bag and sling bag down to meet baby at 8.20am.
Serene said that she did not have spare pillow so I had to bring my pink fluffy pillow over~
=)
Bought bread toast and iced Milo & hot coffee before heading off to the 2nd link.

It was a nightmare at the Tuas causeway.. We were stuck in the jam for 3 hrs!!
I slept for 1 hr and were still in the jam! Poor baby had to endure the entire 3 hrs jam.. hohoho.. I felt fortunate to be able to sleep through 1/3 of the jam... =P

I was woken by the noise of plastic bags... Then baby told me that he seriously need to pee...
We are in the middle of the jam.. in the middle of the Tuas-JB causeway where no toilet available...
Well... he did managed to clear his bladder.. which I am not going to further elaborate...
=______=" Felt so caveman...

Finally at 12pm, we reach Bukit Indah to pick Serene up~
And that's another 2+ hours drive to Melaka..
I was happily chatting with Serene for 1 hr before I fell asleep again~
Reached Melaka at 3pm and rested for a while at Serene's place.

Her friend Loyd came over to join us to the shopping mall.

This was the first time I experience Serene's driving skill.. Haha..
I would say that it's not bad but she is one angsty driver... So much like baby...
Even Loyd agrees with me that she is angsty when she drives..

She would scold any driver that cuts her lane, not giving way to her etc...
=P

Well, being the passenger, we have lotsa free time to take photos~

This is what baby was posing when I tried to take a photo of him...
So gayish!

From this picture... It really shows that baby has short fingers!!
hahhaa.. so cute...

The roads at Melaka are narrow.. and most of them are one-way..
It's really a pain to find parking lots in Melaka.. This is so rare in Malaysia...
And we only managed to find a parking lot at 4+pm..
We then split up to do our own shopping as Serene and Loyd wanted to catch a movie.
Me and baby had coffee and donuts.

The donuts are pretty~ but they taste normal..
Nothing exciting about it.. haha..

After which, me and baby decided to take a look at their cinema..
It's the Golden Screen Cinema and they were showing GI Joe at 5pm. Tickets are priced at RM10 only!
It was already 5.05pm, so we quickly bought the tickets and went into the cinema..

I am quite surprised that the theatre is new and clean.. So unlike of the one I visited last time..
The seats are comfortable~
Unlike those in Singapore, the seats are not so upright. We totally enjoyed the movie!

After that we decided to have dinner at a Satay Lok Lok place. It is a recommended item to try in Melaka~

We went to this place named Ban Lee Siang coz the most popular place named Capitol was totally flooded with pple..
And there was a long queue outside the shop..
This place was also crowded but we could still get a seat within 5 mins.

Love the satay sauce!!

The non-coloured sticks are RM0.50 and the red sticks are RM0.60~!
They have quite a variety of food items to choose from~
The total cost for the lok lok meal + drinks was only Rm49.70.
That works out to only about $5.11/person!!
How I wish they have this in JB too~!
Well definitely not in Singapore.. coz it would cost a bomb to eat lok lok in Singapore... =(

The weather is really warm in Melaka.. 33 degrees Celsius... We were perspiring after the meal~

After that we went to Jonker Street.. But nothing much there.. It's so much like our Chinatown in Singapore.. So I didn't really buy much from that place.. The local products sold at the "San Shu Gong" shop were freaking over-priced!!
I saw sooooo many Singaporean tourists carrying baskets full of the local products.. Well.. that's why I say it's a shop for tourists only...
I would rather ask my ah gong to help me get them from Batu Pahat instead.. I would save at least 30-40% of the cost...

As the weather was really warm, we headed for cendol after walking to the end of the Jonker street~
Yumz~~~ The Cendol was covered with Gula Malacca (coconut sugar) and tasted soo yummy!
Enjoyed the dessert a lot~

************************************************************************************

09 Aug 09

I didn't know what time we woke up coz Serene's place did not have a clock..
As I was craving for the chicken rice ball, Serene brought us to the shop near her place.
She said that the food is nicer and cheaper compared to the shops in Jonker Street (tourists' attraction area)

We ordered half a chicken and 20 rice balls.
The chicken meat was tender and smooth~ Very nicely cooked and seasoned.

The rice balls are small, equivalent to the size of a fish ball~
The rice tasted very Q and I
believed it could bounce if I were to throw it on the table~
=P

What's really good abt the chicken rice is that both the chicken and the rice are not oily!
The typical Hainan Chicken Rice we had in Singapore tends to be very oily..
For the Melaka Chicken Rice, we feel satisfied after eating it instead of the normal greasy feeling.

The chilli sauce is good too! No garlic was added to the chilli sauce so we didn't have bad garlic breath after eating it. =)
The whole meal + drinks only cost us abt RM14 !!

I kept asking Serene why she didn't grew fat after staying in Melaka for so long~ haha..
She said that she grew real fat in the intial stage but after 1+ yrs of Melaka food, she slowly grew bored of it already~

We went to GSC again to watch movie~ This time we watched " On His Majesty's Secret Order".
It's a Hong Kong Comedy which left us laughing till our stomach hurts~ =)
I don't mind watching it again!

Went to Mahkota Parade to shop and I bought a top from "Kitchen" at only RM53.

Then we went to the Eye on Malaysia.

The ride cost RM10 for Malaysians (MyKad is required for identification purposes), and RM20 for non-locals. So baby was the foreigner!
It was Serene's first time trying out the Ferris Wheel after it was moved from KL to Melaka not too long ago.
The weather was really hot but luckily the ferris wheel cabin is air-conditioned~
So we could see lotsa water condensation on the glass of the cabin.

Enjoyed the 20 minutes ride~

Dinner was on a street near Jonker. Serene recommended the Wanton Mee~

The noodles is very Q and tastes good~ After mixing the chilli sauce, it tastes really yummy!
Wanton was not bad too~
I didn't know how much the meal cost as I forgot to ask baby after he paid the vendor.

We also ordered the Char Kway Tiao from the next stall as the waiting time for the wanton mee was really long.
Erm.. the char kway tiao smells really GOOD.. but the taste was so ordinary..
Quite disappointed with it~
The ones sold in Batu Pahat tasted 100X better!

We skipped the Lala stall as we were already very full. So we headed home early~
Serene had class at 8am the next day, so she needed her rest too~

***********************************************************************************

10 Aug 09

Serene woke us up at 7am. Then we set off at 7.40am~
Had breakfast at the MacDonald's opposite the Melaka Zoo.

The Mac in Msia is really cheap~ Or rather Singapore's Mac is far too over-priced...
I seriously think that Mac should start distributing discount coupons again~

We ordered Sausage McMuffin with Egg Meal for only RM7.70 each.
The price is even much cheaper than a Happy Meal in Singapore! Argh.. This is so frustrating!
Guess that's why I seldom have Mac in Sg...

Happy with my breakfast~!

We reached JB at 10am~ So we went to Jusco at Tebrau City to shop, eat and watch another movie (Overheard)~
I think from now on, I will frequent Msia to watch movies... coz again... Sg's movie tickets are over-priced........ =________="

♥ My week..

This week passed so fast..
Nothing actually happened for this whole week..

Baby suggested to drive up to Malacca or KL this long weekend.
So I contacted Serene and asked to long bang her place for 1 night..
hohoho... so we will pick her up at JB then drive her back to Malacca~

Hopefully it will be a fun trip!
It's been so long since I last went to Malacca.. the last time I went was during the Sec4 Prom night in 2002..
And that was 7 years ago already!
I suddenly feel OLD again...

Been fatted again...
I want to lose weight!!!
4 kgs of fats!!
So sian of being fat liao..
I want to be like Sec sch again!! I start to wonder where did my determination came from when I was in Sec sch..
Peer pressure for dieting?? or coz I have higher metabolism rate when I was younger??
Whatever...
I just want to lose 4 kgs...

♥ My Bday Bangkok Trip - Day 3 & 4

Day 3 - 19 Jul 09

Woke up slightly later coz we were too exhausted after 2 days of shopping from morning till night..
We had breakfast at the cafe again.
I was glad that they served bacon!! It's one of my fav. breakfast items~
Seeing the amount I ate everyday.. I bet I would have gained back all the weight that I lost prior to the trip...

Today's main attraction is Siam Ocean World!

First Stop
Siam Ocean World ( http://www.siamoceanworld.co.th/index.htm )

Being the kiasu, we headed to Siam Paragon from our hotel at 9.30pm. The journey from Chon Nonsi station to Siam station was a quick one, so we reached the place at 9.50am~
Siam Paragon wasn't even opened yet!
As it opens at 10am, we were the 2nd visitor of the day! *clapz clapz*

Here's some details of the Ocean World:
Location: Siam Paragon Basement 1 & 2
Nearest BTS: Siam Station
Opening Hours: 10am - 8pm (BKK time)
Admission Fee: 850 baht (inclusive of 1 free popcorn & drink, 1 Glass bottom boat ride, 1 entry to Sanyo 4D X-Venture show & 1 behind the scene entry); 950 baht (Additional 10 mins Dr. Fish foot spa on top of the basic admission package)

If I am not wrong, it's baby's first time to an aquarium~ He didn't even go to the Underwater World in Sentosa before..
He was really excited when he entered the Siam Ocean World =)
Baby kept asking me to take lots of pictures of the sea animals etc.. hehe.. so much like a child..

There was quite a collection of sea animals and they even had the preserved bodies of deep sea creatures!
I love the snow crabs~~! Though this may sound a bit cruel.. but I was hoping that I could get to taste one soon! =P
I am such a crab-lover... Such a carnivore!!

We went for the Dr. Fish foot spa. Our feet were cleaned by the attendants before we could place them into the circular jacuzzi.
The water is cool coz the fish would have died if the water temperature is any higher.
Within a few seconds, the fishes were surrounding our soles and started nibbling!
It was sooooooooooo itchy!!
Baby's face was in torment... hahaha...
After a while, I realised that there were very few fishes around baby's feet..
Whereas my feet were surrounded by so many fishes and a few big ones!
Well... this shows that wearing high heels everyday did gave me a lot of dead skins...
It's time for my pedicure soon!
Baby was laughing at me.. saying that me feet must be really dirty which is why the fishes love me so much...

Think I will visit a fish spa again when I return to Singapore~! A longer treatment next time!

We finished touring the whole place by 12pm and went for the glass bottom boat ride.
Life vests were provided. There are baits for sale to feed the fishes.
There were so many fishes swimming by our boat and we could even see the shark swim past our boat!
Cool!
Imagine the huge sharks (though quite harmless to humans) swimming underneath your feet..
=)

Watched the shark feeding show, but was a bit of disappointment.
apparently they did not have enough fish to feed the shark for the entire 5 mins show..
So the divers were just pushing the sharks away after 2 mins...
=(
*disappointed*

Second Stop
MBK - Hong Min (level 3)

After the aquarium tour, we headed to MBK for lunch~
We ordered:
- 3 dim sum
- Wanton mee (for baby)
- Century Egg Porridge (for me)
- Roasted Duck
- Stirred fried veggies
- Pan-fried Oyster Omelet (Me & Baby seriously love oyster omelet!)
- Iced Milk Tea

Total cost for the meal: 700+ baht (Cheap!)

Third Stop
Siam Centre + Siam Square

Nothing much for Siam Centre as it is just like any other shopping centres in Singapore, so we went to Siam Square instead.
Baby bought more tees there..
I bought a pair of heels at only 250 baht!
Love it lots!

Fourth Stop
Platinum Shopping Centre + Pratunam Market

We headed to Platinum via a cab. Platinum is also a place for buying cheap clothing and accessories!
I bought a nice deep blue dress @ 350 baht, and 2 belts @ 150 baht each.

After a while we could not longer walk any further, so I suggested that we need foot massage!!
So we went to Pratunam centre for foot massage.
It's 99 baht for 40 mins.
The massage was good and Baby & I soon dozed off..
Felt so much refreshed after the massage~

Headed back to hotel via tuk tuk after walking through the night market beside Baiyoke Sky Hotel.
Bathed and rested our feet again in the hotel before we went to Patpong again.

Fifth Stop
Patpong Night Market - Final shopping~!

Baby passed by a printing stall and bought another 5 tees... He had abt 20 tees already!!
After that we went to Coffee Society to relax.

Venue: Coffee Society ( http://www.coffeesociety.co.th )
Location: Silom
Opening Hours: 24-hrs

It is a 4-storey cafe. First story with normal tables and chairs, second storey with cushion seats and rectangular tables, third-storey with sofas and bean bags (something like Essential Brew in Singapore), fourth-storey is a mystery.. coz I didn't went up to see.. =P

Loved their banana smoothie, and ice blended mocha~~~ Their brownies and cakes are good too!
Felt totally relaxed and enjoyed the night in the cafe with my baby...

Day 4 - 20 Jul 09

Home Sweet Home

Our flight was at 12.35pm so we had our breakfast and set off to the airport at 9am.
It's a monday morning so we were so worried that we might be caught in the horrible BKK traffic jam...
Well, no jam!
We hired the hotel's private car @ 500 baht to the airport.
The driver uncle was so friendly and helpful, I can't help but to tip him.
Love BKK's friendliness!! I will miss it a lot!

After checking in, we headed to Black Canyon again!!
Had their Iced Coffee and I totally love it!!

That more or less sums up my BKK trip with my baby!
=)

♥ My Bday Bangkok Trip - Day 2

Day 2 - 18 Jul 09

Had a good night sleep.. Fully recharged for the second day!
I was glad that though the hotel is old and located beside a cemetery, we had a good sleep (no spooky things *touch wood!*)
We went to the 2nd floor to have our breakfast at the hotel cafe.
They didn't have a lot of variety like those international breakfast from the 5 stars hotel, but the food was not bad.
They offered:

Chinese
Porridge with chicken etc
Stir fried veggies
Stir fried meat
Salute potato

American
Bread Toast (with a choice of butter, jam or kaya)
Muffins
Cakes
Cream puffs
Eggs (Scrambled, omelet, sunny-side-up)
Hotdogs
Ham or Bacon (alternate days)
Pancake or French toast (alternate days)
Yogurt
Cereals
Fruits
Green Salad

Thai
Thai fried rice
Thai fried rice noodles

Of coz I had my scrambled eggs, hotdogs, pancake, fresh milk, orange juice and a toast.
We finished our breakfast around 9am and was ready to set off to Chatuchak!

First Stop
Chatuchak! (opens only on weekends from 9am - 5pm) consisting of abt 15000 stalls (according to wikipedia)

On our way to the BTS station, I saw this roadside stall selling bbq food.. The smell was good until I saw that they sell bbq whole frog...
OMG!
I really mean WHOLE Frog!
The head, eyes, skin, body and legs were all intact and was put to bbq on 2 sticks... *fainted*
I had goosebumps once I saw the frogs...
We then took BTS from Chon Nonsi Station (which was abt 10 mins walk from the hotel) and change to to another line at Siam station towards Mo chit Station.

It took abt 20 mins to reach chatuchak~
It was already crowded early in the morning~
So we started on our shopping spree~ from 10am - 3pm

The weather was really warm.. approx. 34 degrees celcius..
My previous visit to chatuchak was in early December so it was abt 27-28 degrees.. so much cooler than this visit!
I was almost dying of continuous perspiration... hahaha...

Things to buy in Chatuchuk:
- Tees (approx. bargained price 80 - 200 baht, depending on design, quality and your bargaining skill)
- Bags (Tote, handbags, sling bag, luggage, backpacks, etc) (approx. bargained price 199 - 399 baht, depending on sizes and designs)
- Slippers (approx. 199 baht)
- Belts
- Caps, hats
- Tops (approx. 150 - 399 baht)
- Bermudas (approx. 100 - 299 baht)

Tips for shopping in Chatuchak:
- Compare the prices among the shops.
- Do not look too enthu when buying otherwise the stall holder will be less willing to give you a good discount coz he/she knows that you will definitely buy it
- The stall holders normal offer a super high price e.g a Tee for 399 baht... so bargain for 100 - 180 baht. If failed to come to an agreed price, just reject politely and start walking off. 80% of the time, the stall holder will give in once they see you walk away. Well, we aren't there to pick up a fight, so just be polite to the stall holders and they will be more willing to agree to the bargained price. *Do not bring your "Yaya-Papaya" attitude over as it irks everyone..*
- Grab a map at the clock tower area, otherwise you will be so lost among the 15000 stalls... The map will show you which section sells what kind of products etc.
- Rest when necessary! You will be able to shop more when you have ample of short breaks.. Grab a cup of iced milk Tea (highly recommended) or some cold thai desserts inside chatuchak!
- Try the thai food for lunch at the food stalls. You will find authentic local food (approx. price 30 - 60 baht) and drinks (approx. 10 - 25 baht). They have english translations on the menu, so no worries if you don't understand thai. The food is relatively clean, but do expect a 5 star hotel cleanliness, if you want atas environment, then eat in atas hotel. So sick of seeing some tourists trying to act atas when they want to eat in chatuchak.. =___="

Baby bought quite a number of stuff to the extend that he wanted to buy a luggage to hold them.. It's a good idea that you get a luggage or those waterproof plastic carrier with wheels when you buy a lot of stuff there. You can save your hands from the heavy weight and simply drag the carrier/luggage.

We decided to take a cab back to our hotel (120 baht).. I could hardly walk any further coz my feet were so tired!
We dump the stuffs we bought and had a good bath.. The sun had left us all sweaty and smelly...
Felt so refreshed after a short rest and fresh clothes~
=)

Second Stop
MBK

Again we took the BTS to Siam Station. This is where a number of big shopping centres are located. For example, Siam Paragon, Siam centre, MBK, Siam square etc.
I bought a nice bag at a roadside stall on the way to MBK. It has a long strap, grey with gold zip and different compartments for my handphones etc. Bought it at 350 baht~ Not super cheap but really worth the money!
So happy that I have got my 2nd bag in BKK~! The first bag was from chatuchak, a brown draw-string bag to replace the worn out one that I bought from Taiwan 2 yrs ago~ *Happy!!*

Well, MBK is a big shopping centre with lotsa shops selling imitation goods. Not my cup of tea though.. I don't like to buy imitation bags (esp. the big brands like LV, Gucci, Agnes b etc) coz it's really embarrassing when someone noticed it..
I would rather buy the real goods when I can afford it~ =)

Had early dinner in a thai noodle restaurant coz I couldn't find the Hong Min Chinese restaurant which I visited in the previous trip.. The food wasn't fantastic.. but edible.. so was a bit disappointed after the meal..
We continued with our shopping, and baby was so tempted to buy the magic trick (D-lite) which costs 950 baht... Freaking ex!!
It was the magic trick that can make red/blue light appear/disappear on you finger tip..
I didn't let him buy it.. coz I think it's not worth it..

Bought 2 Abercrombie & Fitch tops from a factory outlet in MB.. Only 80 baht each! *So happy!*
After which we went up the the 3rd level in the B section.. It was then I saw Hong Min restaurant!! I told baby that I will bring him there for lunch tomorrow~
There is also a Hong Min restaurant at level 1 but the 2 restaurant sells different stuff.. and I prefer the one on the 3rd level near Burger King fast food.

We were tired by 7pm.. so we went to Starbucks for a drink and rest our feet~ Earlier, the cab driver lied to us that Pratunam Market is closed so he offered to drive us to Suan Lum Night Bazaar or Patpong Night Market.. But we refused coz we know that they are over-charging us for the fare. Plus the internet says that Suan Lum Night Bazaar has been closed down since 2008..
After buying my Ice blended Mocha, I asked the Starbucks guy if suan lum is still open. To my surprise, he said that it is open every night! So what's all the "closed down" hooha over the internet?????
So I learn another lesson... Internet research is essential before a trip, but the most accurate information always comes from the independent locals (when I say independent means you don't ask the cab drivers! Of coz they will say things that is to their advantage.. duh..)

Third Stop
Suan Lum (http://www.suanlum-nightbazaar.com/EN/maps.php)

We headed to Suan Lum by cab (100 baht). We shopped lane by lane coz Suan Lum is a big night market so by doing so, we will not miss out any stalls~
Baby noticed a stall selling magic tricks.. He stood there to watch the guy perform.. The guy will teach you how to perform the magic trick after you decided to buy and paid for the item.
In the end, after 45 mins of seeing and buying and coaching, baby bought 3 magic tricks (bite coin, magic sponge balls and prediction bicycle deck) @ 1000 baht. The guy gave him an additional magic trick (dice prediction) for free. So 4 tricks for 1000 baht.
And that finally pacified baby.. hahaha...
Guess he has entered the next interest phase.. From Feng Shui to magic... (Alyssa also told me that his bf is quite into magic recently..)
Is that the phase guys must go through when they reach their 30s???
*I wonder..*

Finally we reached the food area of Suan Lum. They have a huge food area with tons of tables and seats in the middle area, a huge stage at one end (live band performances) and 2 huge projection screen showing soccer match~
It's my favourite place~~~
The food is fantastic and the beer is super cheap, plus live band entertainment~! A good place to sit and relax after shopping for the whole day~

Baby ordered Tom Yum Goong, Thai pineapple seafood fried rice and oyster omelet! (approx. 45- 65 baht)
Food is delicious! The rice is so fragrant! and the big fat oyster in the egg~~ *droolz*
Baby had iced milk tea while I had the iced lemon tea... After one slip of baby's iced milk tea, I so so so so so regretted ordering the lemon tea!!
The iced milk tea aka my highly recommended drink in Thailand, so forget abt coconut juice.. its such a boring drink..
It taste so smooth~ so so so smooth~ and very well blended as they use the Teh Tarik method to blend the tea and milk.
I am sooooo going to miss the food from Thailand!! I wonder if Golden Mile sells Thai food of the same quality...

Went back to hotel via cab coz it was way past mid night.. *tired*

♥ My Bday Bangkok Trip~!

Finally I get some time to start blogging abt my Bangkok trip!
It's my bday present from baby! So touched~~!

So here's the general details abt my trip:
Duration: 17 - 20 Jul 09

Day 1 - 17 Jul 09

Photos at http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2517139&op=6&o=global&view=global&subj=620258925&id=531941490#/album.php?aid=108646&id=531941490

At first I suggested to camp over at T2 or T3 on 16 Jul since our flight is at 6.30am..
Being me (the "famous" sleepy head) will have great difficulty waking up at 4am..
But in the end was tired after work so decided to try waking at 4am instead..

Well, guess baby was over excited, he kept waking up in the middle of the night asking me what time it was...
I had set the alarm clock at 3.45am... so no worries!! Stop waking me up!! It's my beauty sleep before the big day!
Finally, all set at 4.30am.. I lugged my handbag + luggage while baby had his big bag pack...
I started having runny nose when I board the cab... Was so worried that I might get detained at the airport..
Coz nowadays, sneezing, runny nose, cough, fever are all the big TABOO...
Thanx to the over-reacted pple towards H1N1 (aka Hinnie...)

Reached the budget terminal, checked in and time for breakfast!
It's been so long since I last had Mac breakfast~~~ =) *Happy*
Time to board the plane, met some Kiasu SG aunties... =___="
It's my virgin ride on budget airline~ so I was quite excited and nervous..
But soon it was over-whelmed with boredom...
I realized that there no TV on the plane.. no food/drinks included... *upsetted*
So I self-entertained by cam-whoring.. =P
While baby was well-occupied with his newspapers...

Reach BKK @ 7+am (BKK time), got a cab to our hotel..
Had some difficulties letting the cab know where the hotel is..
So moral of the story: spend more money and stay in a more renowned hotel~~ =)

We checked in at 9.15am~
Well the room is clean and very spacious but looks old... The picture I saw on the website was so much better... The toilet is old but relatively clean..
Demerits: No toothbrush, tooth paste, bath robe, face towel and hand towel... Hotel corridor is not air-conditioned, hotel situated beside an old Chinese cemetery
Merits: Cheap rates, near BTS, near Patpong night market, relatively clean, quite comfy, excellent service staffs, and breakfast was not bad.

First stop
Black Canyon Coffee @ Silom Complex.
Was hungry so we went for early lunch before we continue our journey to Hua Lamphong station.
The Tom Yum Goong there is fantastic!! It has a rich taste, the sourness and spiciness is just right.. One slip will greatly enhance your appetite!
Their drinks are good too! Plus the price is cheap! drinks @ only S$3+ and food @ only S$ 4-6+

After the meal we headed to Hua Lamphong station. It is the last station nearest to the grand palace on the BKK map (map available foc at BKK airport or major shopping centres, so there is no need to buy one).
It's important not to take a cab or tuk tuk during peak hours, otherwise you will be wasting time and energy being stuck in the horrible jam.
Taking a cab from Hua Lamphong is a good choice as it is not the main shopping district or office area so traffic jams are less likely to happen.

Unfortunately, we were told by a friendly local that the Grand Palace and Wat Pho is closed for the King's visit... It was the yearly Buddha day in Thailand.. *SAD!*
That's the problem when I did not research thorough enough...
The friendly local suggested several places for us to visit instead..
We went to Wat Ratchanadda by tuk tuk (recommended by the local, so the tuk tuk will bring us around for shopping and sight seeing).. Nothing very interesting though..

We were then driven to a place selling gems and jeweleries... *BORED!!*
So we told the tuk tuk man that we were not interested in buying gems and got him to bring us to Bobe shopping complex instead.
Apparently the tuk tuk man gets paid for the attractions that he brought us to.. so he was quite disappointed that we wanted to shorten the sight seeing..
When we reached Bobe market, we still paid him the full 80baht (which was meant for the whole trip).. After all he was very friendly..

Second Stop
Bobe shopping complex located at Prince Palace Hotel.
It's a shopping complex selling wholesale clothing and products. *Heavenly!*
Tees were sold @ 50 - 90 baht (according to different sizes). The clothing quality is good and some of the designs could be found in places like Topman!
The beer singlets were sold @ 65 baht, far cheaper than the night market bargained rates of 100 baht.
Baby bought quite a number of tees, while I bought 2 tees for my bro.
We spent quite a long time there and had early dinner in the food court (located at 4 or 5th floor.. I can't rmb already..)
There we had thai fried rice (yummy!), oyster omelet and thai dessert~
Spent only abt S$10 for dinner including drinks~

Third Stop
We didn't take a tuk tuk or cab back to our hotel as it was peak hour..
So we followed the map and tried to walk to the nearest night market.. In the end we couldn't find the market and got a bit lost... hahaha...
We went so far till we reached Chinatown... Imagine walking from Prince Palace hotel all the way to Chinatown...
My feet almost broke off.. hahaha...
Finally we got back to Hua Lamphong area.. Passed by Wat Tramit and then took MRT + BTS back to our hotel..

The weather was so humid and warm (abt 34 degrees Celsius)...
I was sweating from head to toe..
So after a good bath and some rest in the hotel, we headed to Patpong Night market~
So much to see and so much to shop!
Not to forget, I bought the 430ml Yakult from the 7-11 !! So shiok to gulp down the chilled Yakult.. How I wish Singapore will start selling Yakult in big bottles!!
We only return to our hotel at 11+pm...

Had a nice weekend~~ Here it goes:

03 Jul 09

TGIF!!!!!!!!
Managed to get the transformers tix at GV max for tonight's 9pm show!
Woke up feeling soooo excited!
Was a bit hyper in office and cleared a number of backlogs~
Saw Narene in the office and she was also very bubbly~~
Both of us were watching Transformers in the same cinema~! haha..
Finally it's 6pm.. Time to leave the office!!

Only managed to reach vivo ard 7pm coz the traffic was bad..

Got Baby to treat me dinner (Thou he has always been paying for my meals..) coz I treated him to the movie~ =P
We went to Carls' Junior and it was so crowded that we have to share table with a girl...
It's been a long long time since I last ate in Carls' Junior... and I knew that I can't finish a burger by myself so I shared with baby..
The girl's bf came back with the food and was quite pissed off that she allowed us to share the table... He then refused to eat nor talk... leaving the poor girl so upset...
I felt so bad! Though that guy is a total idiotic jerk, I felt so bad for spoiling the girl's day...

Half way through our meal, the guy left and the girl was alone by herself..
OMG... I would have killed that guy... It's just a table... what's the big deal??
Plus that table is for 6 pple... so it's big enough for 4 of us to share...
Baby was wondering what happened and I whispered the incident to him...
He too found it ridiculous... But I reminded him that he did that once in Westmall's food court...
That's when I generously shared the table with a mother and daughter and baby got angry...
Haiz.. guys nowadays behave so ungentlemanly... What has the world become???

After eating, we noticed that the guy didn't return and the girl left the place without touching her burger & fries at all...
So poor thing...

Then we went shopping and I got myself a top from Pull n Bear~~
It was on sale~! ( I didn't try the top before buying.. the top ended up too big for me.. so I am trying to sell it to Elaine instead..)
Wasted $19.90..... *sulk*
Went for the movie at 9pm and met Narene outside the cinema!
It's baby's first time in GV max, and he was quite impressed that the cinema is huge and the seat are quite comfy~ I bet he would like the Cathay Grand too~
Then he started to haolian that he had been to GV Gold Class... Apparently his company's event was to watch X-men at Gold Class...
And so that's why he refused to watch it with me in the cinema that time... *hrmp!*
Some more lied to me that he had watched it online...

The movie is good!!! I love bumble bee!
I could tell that baby was quite engrossed in the movie (except for the part which I laughed too much.. hahhaa..)
But he still insisted on saying that the movie is meant for children to watch... =___="
The movie ended ard 11.40pm and baby then drove back to his place..

04 Jul 09

Woke up ard 12+pm.. Got ready and baby drove me to sch..
Had lunch at the fishball noodles stall opposite my sch..
He was nice enough to accompany me to class again.. But this time it was very obvious that he crashed my class coz my lecture was in the classroom...
Brian Chia saw us walked in and many of the classmates were staring...

We hid at the back of the class...
Baby was drinking his kopi and reading newspapers... while I did my mock exam...
Brian Chia said that he will only go through the papers at 4pm... which is 2 hrs aways...
I got bored after 1 hr so I told baby that we should leave... Since the class will be recorded, I can get the answers via the web recording later...
So we left the class at 3.15pm and went to Farmart ~

In the car, Baby said that Michelle (Minyu's fren) kept looking at me and seemed to be talking abt us.. The whole group even turned to look at us.. (I didn't notice all these...)
Well.. haha.. I guessed that they must be asking Minyu if that's my bf and why is he in the class...
I joked that 100% it's not because baby is handsome that caused them to look.. hahahahaha...

Saw 2 uncles caught 2 super huge river prawns in farmart.. I think they were about 30cm long!!
That's the largest prawns ever caught!!

Went back to baby place to bathe coz I was so sweaty due to the stupid weather.. Plus a bit of menses cramp...
Then had dinner at westmall... baby specifically told me not to share the 4 seater table with others..
But when we were halfway through our meal, a guy came asking to share and baby agreed without hesitation...
After the guy left, a mother and daughter came to ask and baby agreed again...
=__________="
Double standard guy.....
Baby argued that that's coz he had chosen his seat so the empty seats could be shared...
*duh* what's the diff... *rolled eyes*

We bought pink guava juice and headed to farmart again after dinner...
Started prawning at 9pm and did not get a single prawn in the 1st hour.. =(
We received 2 prawns from a lady who was leaving already and 1 from the boy who tends the stall...
After 3.5 hrs of prawning, we managed to get 16 prawns (on average abt 15-16cm)~!
It's considered quite few as compared to normal days.. but the prawns are bigger this time..

Headed back to baby's place at 1+am.. *tired*

05 Jul 09

Woke up at 10+am by baby's FART.. *grossed!!!!!*
I think that's the gross-est thing for a guy to do esp in front of the gf... *rolled eyes*
What's worst is that he enjoyed seeing me in agony when he farts...
I seriously think that he is psychotic.. very psycho indeed...

Went back to my house to cook brunch~
I was supposed to cook the prawns (those we caught yesterday)... I fried them and then stir fry then with salt and pepper... *yummy!*
Baby was to cook fried rice for me.. Coz that's the 1st time he cooks for me...
According to him, he only knows how to cook maggi mee (which he hardly eats them) and white rice and fried eggs...
So if I die from eating his fried rice, I wouldn't be surprised...

So I prepared the ingredients for the fried rice while he de-shell and cleaned the prawns...
We had luncheon meat, crab stick, egg, peas, corn, corn, garlic and onion for the fried rice..
I added the seasoning for him.. coz he initially planned to add oyster sauce.. *omg..*
(can you imagine eating fried rice with oyster sauce???) *bleah*

Well, the rice turned out quite good.. hahah... This shows that next time I can get him to cook other food as well~

In the late afternoon, it was drizzling so baby decided to go JP for a walk..
Went for tea at toast box...
Then I went NTUC to get smoked salmon, bread and butter head lettuce..
The place was flooded with pple.. so irritating...
It seemed like pple goes groceries shopping in only NTUC...
Or otherwise, the entire family has to be present before the mother can buy her groceries...
=________="
*sickening...*
And there are rowdy kids dashing around and poking the food on the shelves...
*duh* Are those kids just released from the zoo??? Or what have the parents been teaching them on proper behaviour in the public???
Guess parent nowadays don't really teach huh... They just leave it to the school to do the teaching so that they have someone to blame when their kids misbehaved...

Well.. the adults aren't any better.. They practically surround the food sampling area as if they are going to settle their dinner there...
*sick*
I know it's economic crisis... but please don't be so "hungry ghost" can???
So grossed....
Maybe that's why I hate to shop in NTUC... I prefer cold storage... where pple tends to be more well behaved...

Went home to watch "War of the World" on Ch5..
Apparently baby had not watched it before.. Well.. a bit surprising coz that movie was so popular at that time..
Maybe he was too busy with studies + work bah...
*shrugs*

I am so upset today!
It was raining in the morning so I had to use my beloved umbrella to get a cab... After boarding the cab, I folded the unbrella nicely and placed it on the floor of the car...
And when I got off, I totally forgot about my umbrella!! and the uncle didn't noticed it either so he drove off...

I reached the office and then I realised that something was missing...
*SOBZ*
I lost my umbrella........................................
The one that I used for so long and it's so handy and pretty... And I have feelings for all my stuff....
*sulk sulk sulk!!*

30 Jun 09

My Isetan $20 voucher is expiring today.. I couldn't think of anything to buy in Isetan Scotts so in the end I wasted the voucher..
Plus no one to accompany me down to orchard so I don't feel like going also..
Haiz.. Pple, Please give me a voucher that I will use in future.. I don't go Isetan.. So Robinson voucher would be fantastic~~

Baby came to fetch me at 6.20pm and there was a huge jam in IBP... Y?
Coz there are too many lousy drivers in IBP which caused the massive am everyday... Well not that I am mean or what.. but their driving skills really sux...

During the traffic jam, I turned and took a peep at the back seats of baby's car... Immediately he knew what I was looking for.. (his jogging bag). . so he took the chance to tease that we are going jogging later... and that his jogging bag is in the boot...
Yea right! It would kill me if he really insisted on jogging.. haha..

So I went home to change before we headed out for dinner.. Went pass the durian stall and baby was craving for it again..
In the end he bought 6 small durians for $10.
We went to the void deck at Blk 465 and bought passion fruit ice blended before we started feasting on the durians..
It's seriously my first time eating durians in the public.. or rather void deck...
The durians were so much nicer that the 7 for $10 ones..
Yummy!

Then there was this durian with a tiny hole on its shell.. I took a seed and offered to baby to share..
He ate half (luckily only half!) ... Then I look suspiciously at the shell and decided to "inspect" the seed before I eat..
No wonder pple always say that women's instinct is the most powerful thing on earth...
When I turned the seed, there was this fat red worm on the durian!!!!!!!!!!!!
*screamz!*
I threw the durian into the plastic bag and got grossed out..

Baby flipped the durian seed and saw the worm... Oh gross!
So lucky that it's a full worm instead of half a worm.... =________="
He was laughing and was glad that he didn't took a bigger bite..
hahhaa....
We finished the rest of the durians in a very paranoid mood..

26 Jun 09

Finished work at 6pm today.. coz it's TGIF!! so I don't wanna work late~
Baby came to fetch me as usual and we headed to JP for dinner.. *Hungry!*

I wanted to go to the new food court in JP2.. There wasn't much stuff to eat..so I make do with fish ball kway tiao which baby wanted to order..
Hmm.. I don't know why but baby ordered kway tiao soup for me..
=________="
Tasted like the type of soupy food that you eat when you are sick...
*sulked*
Baby's Mee Pok dry looks so much yummier~
Btw it cost $4.50 for that bowl of kway tiao.. so freaking over-priced!

The food court has too few seats, so there were endless stream of pple walking around and standing around waiting/queuing...
Felt so irritated... I don't like to eat in very crowded and noisy place.. especially with pple walking around and looking at your food etc.. Makes me feel like the animals in the zoo...
Baby noticed that I was very distracted by the pple moving around and so I told him that I will not eat at that place again..

Baby wanted to get a watch that measures the heart rate, distance travelled and calories burnt.. but he could find one that is suitable.. They are either too ugly or they come with an additional transmitter which he doesn't like..

After some window shopping at JP, we headed back to baby's place to watch TV before I return home.. Can't stay over at baby's place coz I need to wake up early for Yueting's wedding tmr.

27 Jun 09

Rushed down to city via cab at 8.40am~ Yueting's wedding is held in Armenian Church in City Hall..
She is sooooooooooo pretty in the wedding gown~
The wedding photos are very well taken and very sweet looking.. I think I may consider using that bridal shop for photo shoot if I were to get married when I am 26~!

Saw Jessica at the wedding, and she has slimmed down sooooooo much!
She said that London Weight Management is really good and she had lost so much weight in just 3 sessions!
She gave me a complimentary trial and I am so going to attend it!

After the wedding, we went Raffles place and city link for a while before heading back home..
I finally get to see my bro in his botak head after 3 weeks~ hahah He thought that I had disappeared from home for the past 3 weeks.. haha..
He looks ok in the botak head.. just that his head looks big..
and his army cap is really huge...

Baby came to my house to bomb my toilet before we headed off to JB..
He wanted to try out the paintball before the real game on 5th July~
wahhaah...
The jam at the causeway was really bad... We left home ard 3pm and reached JB at 5pm... I fell asleep during the jam coz I woke up so early today..
Baby let me rest and only woke me up when we reached the custom..
Felt so guilty for leaving baby alone to endure the jam.. while I happily enjoy my sleep.. =P

Was very hungry by the time we reached Danga city mall.. So we went to the cafe to eat.. We ordered 2 ayam nasi lemak, 2 soft drinks, 1 plate of pan-fried dumplings and 2 egg tarts.. Those only cost us RM18..
They forgot to charge us for the 2 egg tarts though.. and we only found out after we paid..
After the meal, we went up to enquiry abt the paintball stuff.. It cost RM45/person for 3 missions.. and no time limit. The game ends when the mission is completed or when the team ran out of paintballs.. But of coz additional paintballs can be purchased @ 500 for RM130, 1000 for RM200 and 2000 for RM350.

We tried out the target shooting @ 25 paintballs for RM10. I did quite well and managed to hit most of the targets.. whahaha..
I started to brag abt it to baby.. until he laughed and "scolded" me haolian...
I challenged him to archery and bet that I will win coz I was a former archery club member~
There was a big group of Singaporeans playing the archery.. Seems like it some kind of group outing or church outing...
So we waited for them to leave before we could play..

Paid RM13 for 36 arrows, so we had 18 each.. The guy at the booth asked if it's my first time playing so I lied and said yes.. Coz it's been sooo long since I last played archery.. don't wanna malu myself.. hahah...
He demonstrated to me and I hit the bull's eye on the first shot!!
Cool!
Then it was baby's turn to shoot..
Once he released the arrow, he was groaning in pain... and he could put his right arm down..
He said that he had tear his right arm ligament a few yrs ago when playing soccer... so now it hurts when he exerts any force on the arm above the shoulder level...
So poor thing... So I helped him massage his arm and he couldn't play the archery anymore..
I had to finish all the remaining 34 arrows by myself~
My arms were tired halfway through and the aiming got worse.. haha..
The guy gave me another bow that is slightly lighter...
Well~ My overall shooting was good.. and within the circles~~ hahaa... except for a few that were totally out of the board due to fatigue arm... =P

The guy said that my shooting was quite good~
*smirk* =P and I started to haolian to baby again~~
I said that he must be scared that's why he fake injury.. hahhaa...

Went to the poster shop and baby bought 1 Liverpool, 1 Chelsea and 1 PS2 games poster @ RM10/each...
The horrible cheena shopkeeper treated baby very well this time round coz he bought something from the shop..
The previous time when baby didn't buy anything, the shopkeeper actually said "Our shop is for buying.. not for browsing.."
=_________="
Typical Cheena sales attitude... *sux*

Went to one hawker near Holiday plaza for dinner..
Baby rmb that I don't like pple walking around when I eat so he was trying hard to find a better table in the hawker that is away from the stalls..
But it was quite packed so I just concentrate on the food instead of the surrounding..
I didn't want to make things difficult for baby since he had already put in his effort to care for me~
We shared carrot cake and Char Siew Chee Cheong Fan..
I saw pple ordering butter crayfish and it looks yummy~~
Baby noticed that I kept looking at the next table's crayfish so he asked if I want to have that too..
Too bad I was quite full so didn't order it~

Then bought 3 kgs of mangosteen for RM10.
Baby was very surprised that it's my 1st time eating mangosteen..
and he kept making fun of me... saying that I am "mountain tortoise"...
Well.. I don't see that's a problem for not eaten mangosteen before..
I have never eaten starfruit before too~
=P

Came back from JB around 8+pm..
stayed over at baby's place coz I was too tired..
Baby has been treating me very nicely, showing care and concern for me..
Felt so happy that he dotes on me~~
=)
Love him lots lots!

28 Jun 09

Baby woke me up at 11+am.. It's rare that he let me sleep till so late ("late" according to him)...
Went coffee bean for brunch.. Ordered my favourite Salmon Scramble and his fav. egg ben..
Found that my smoked salmon scramble shrunk in serving size..
*sulk..*
There were so few pieces of salmon!!!
I don't care abt economy crisis or what-so-ever..
Cheating me of my salmon is the worst sin to do!!!
*hrmp!*

Went prawning after that.. Baby knew that I don't like fishing so he suggested prawning~~ (I like prawning~~!)
There weren't many pple today so I was quite happy to prawn there~
We found a strategic location with lotsa prawns and baby caught so many~~
Overall we caught 27 prawns over the 3 hours~
Cool~!

Went back to baby's place to cook prawn pasta~
Not bad~
After dinner, baby went to have his hair cut~ This time his hairstyle looks so much nicer~~ No longer the Wang Wang hair anymore~~!
I like his new hair cut!
He seemed pleased when I compliment on it~

My bro agreed to lend me his camera for the Bangkok trip~!
Finally I settled the camera issue! It felt so frustrating for not owning a camera!
In return I will have to buy clothes for my bro and his gf~
Glad that I will be able to take tons of pictures in Bangkok!!
So looking forward to it!!

Counting down 18 days to my bday!!

24 Jun 09

Went to school for lab after work..
was actually quite moody since yesterday coz I have lab today and test for tomorrow...
But I will be super relaxed and happy once my test is over!

The lab work was quite ok coz we split into 3 parts to do.. so we finished all the pract work by 9pm...
But there was some errors in our calculation and ended up finishing the report only at 9.40pm..
*sadded*

I was surprised that Baby came to fetch me.. coz he didn't tell me before hand..
He was having dinner with his colleagues nearby so he reached PSB pretty quickly after I msg him at 9.10pm..
So paiseh gotta let him wait again..

25 Jun 09

Had test today.. and I only managed to study them in the afternoon.
Heng ah.. the test is do-able so I think I can score quite well for it~
=)
So happy that test is over!!

Saw Pandora and Yanhong in the class..
Yanhong wore shirt and pants.. so formal~~ bet she is going out after the test..
And Pandora was wearing a Tee and the design is similar to the one I bought for baby in Forever21 !!
Both the Tees have a printed aviator shade on the v-neck area~~
Just that Pandora's Tee is dark grey (more of the vintage type) while baby's is black and had rhinestones on the rim of the printed shades...
Haha.. better not tell baby abt it or else later he refuse to wear the Tee liao...

Baby planned to pick me up after my test so he went jogging 1st..
But I finished the test within 1/2 hour so I went his place to look for him instead..
Save the trouble of him driving over and me had to wait another 1/2 hour..

19 Jun 09

Didn't go lab today coz the lab looks too difficult and complicated...
So went to take mc to cover this pract...
Me and baby then went to Farmart to have dinner.. hmm.. the zhi char there isn't that nice and quite pricey too..

Then we went to the prawn farm ... At 1st we intended to go prawning.. but looking at the nets of the pple there, we think that it's not a nice day to prawn..
Everyone caught so few and surely we would end up the same if we were to also do so...
I noticed that they have increased the prices from $27 to $30 for 3 hrs..
Plus they have this mini competition on Fridays where they give out cash prices to pple who caught prawns with color tags...

After hanging around there for a while, baby decided that maybe we should try out the prawning farm at The Village (which used to be the reptile park)..
Well.. it was the same case over there, so in the end we decided to head back to baby's place..

20 Jun 09

I woke up at 11+am.. not wanting to go to sch today..
So baby decided to go JB..
We went to check out the Danga City Mall.. Nothing much there.. Most of the shops were unoccupied...
Other than Metrojaya, the rest of the shops CMI... especially the food court... it sells yucky food...

Then we found this shop that sells paintball equipment and stuff.. They even have a paintball ground on the top level..
There was this crazy Singaporean who kept psycho_ing baby to join them to play paintball and to buy personal markers, armours etc...
Good thing that he noticed my black face, and kept his preaching short...
Baby got very interested in that paintball thingy.. and even considered buying the full set which costs RM1.5k ...
Well I am also interested in paintball, but it should only be for leisure, not a hobby!
=_____="
Luckily I dissuaded him...

So I told baby that we could organise a outing to play paintball with our friends next time...
and buying the personal set is totally unnecessary especially when you can't bring it back to Singapore..
The place is flooded with Singaporeans coz the charges are really CHEAP...
1 full game with all the armour, space rental, and marker + 100 balls only cost RM45...
So it's a good idea to play there with friends...
I must emphasize on with FRIENDS.. and not some super paintball-crazy-pple who thought that they are so cool or what...

After that we went to the Festive mall at Danga Bay..
Nothing much there too.. It looks like those shops which you would see in Chatuchak in Bangkok.. Just that it is fully air conditioned..
So we decided to head home..
On our way back, we saw this shopping centre named Awana.. so we drove there for dinner..
The shops there are soo much better...
Had dinner at KFC, bought a pack of tapioca chips and went back to Singapore..

It was still early, so we went to prawn instead~
The prawn farm in farmart was so crowded!
Kids, teenagers, aunties, uncles were all around the pond..
=____="
Spent $30 for 3 hrs there and caught only 7 prawns...
The worst number of catch ever!
All because it was over crowded by pple!!
Guess next time I will go on weekdays.. more worth it...

21 Jun 09

Baby woke me up at 10+am...
I went home to change my clothes before we head off to Bedok Jetty for fishing..
Bought brunch at ECP mac drive-thru.. Love the fries and double cheese burger~~~

The sun was blocked by the clouds when we reached there...
I went tambaning but caught nothing.. there were thousands of small fishes swimming under the jetty but none of them bit at the bait...
After a while the sun was out.. and the heat was too unbearable...
I hid under the shade that baby set up and played my psp until I was all sweaty and sticky..

I didn't like feeling sticky so I asked baby what time we are leaving..
He saw my super grumpy face and couldn't help teasing me...
=___=" so evil...

Baby asked if I wanted to eat ice kachang.. I told him that I only need water.. coz I am super thirsty..
So he drove to Alexander hawker and we drank 3 big glasses of sugar cane~
I wanted to eat hor fun, but there isn't any there.. so I told him I don't want to eat liao..
but baby was very nice, he went around and got me char kway tiao..
Though the kway tiao sux but i still ate half of it coz it's baby's care for me..
Think if he dotes me too much I might turn into "My sassy girl" =P

Later at night I fell asleep and baby woke me up at 8+pm..
He wanted to go westmall for a walk, so we went coffee bean to relax and enjoy the air con..
The weather was just too warm for human...

Durians are so freaking cheap now... Coz the weather is tooo hot.. and so there is a fantastic harvest of durians...
Mama helped me bought 7 durians for only $10~

The moment she stepped into the house, I could smell the aroma of the durians~!
So I immediately opened one to try..
The meat was sooooooo yellowish-orange and tender~!
*Heavenly*
The durians are small and on average there are only 4-5 seeds each.. so I finished 3 durians with my papa~
After that I msg Baby to come over after work to taste the yummy durians...

Baby saw the brillant color of the durians and once he tasted it, he was totally addicted to it...
He seemed super excited when I told him that I had ordered 7 more durians and yet to be collected from the stall..
Once he finished the 2 remaining durians, he quickly got me to change my clothes so that we could collect the order...
hahhaa...
He dilligently carried the load back to my house and we left no durians at all..
*bloated*
Guess that feast would last us for a number of days before we would crave for good durians again...
=P

Met up with Dragon during lunch coz he wanted to tell me abt the insurance thingy...
Not persuading me to buy any policy coz he knows that I am not interested in it..
So it just abt some portfolio thingy..

Went to Ichiban Sushi @ IMM with baby after work..
I was so craving for jap food after looking at the picz of waraku food that we ate with Yueting..
Plus I was very hungry even though I ate a Mac Nugget meal in the afternoon..
I suggested going Baystreet 21 but baby thinks that it's too overpriced..

After looking at the menu.. I was attracted by their set meals and forgot totally abt the yummy udon that they have...
So me and baby each ordered a set meal..
Well... as expected, half way through the meal we were very bloated already...
Baby had to finish the remaining half of my rice and my chicken for me...
=)
His chicken was a bit too salty... so disappointing...
I regretted not ordering the nabeyaki udon... *regret!!!*
But still, I think waraku has nicer food than Ichiban and their servings are HUGE~~~~~

Saw Yoke Yew tabaoing Ichiban when we were queuing to foot our bill..
Guess he must be working late so he needs to tabao...
I told baby that he is the "Mr LV" in our office coz he is branded from head to toe...
=)
so envious!

Went monitoring in KK today..
I bought 600 glucosamine tablets for papa, mama and baby..
they were sold @ $4 for 50 tabs, so much cheaper than those on shelves...

Later at night baby was watching the travel show in Okto channel..
Then he suddenly say he wanted to go Turkey coz it seems interesting and he had nvr been there before...
Hmm.. air tickets to Turkey wouldn't be cheap.. but would be a good experience to see a total different culture..
For me, I would still prefer Japan or Korea~ =)

Can't wait for our bangkok trip!!

15 Jun 09

Baby called me in the morning and after confirming the details with him, I booked the tix in office~
It costs $368 for 2 pax... hmm.. not very budget for a budget airline...
=(
I was expecting it to cost only abt $300 or lesser...
But since it's the 1st time I am taking budget airline, I shall not grumble so much~
Dragon papa asked me not to worry abt baby's pocket, and asked me to just book SQ ~
hahhaa... he should know what kind of person I am... so obviously I wouldn't be so mean to baby..
If it's at my own expense, I will book SQ..

After that I was spending a lot of time searching for suitable hotels..
Joyce recommended Samran hotel (a 3 star hotel near siam paragon) which cost only $47 per night..
I like a few hotels e.g
- Silom Serene (I stayed there during the previous bkk trip.. & I rmb choking their toilet with my "bombs" *grossed* =P)
- Unico Grande Silom (love the room, the roof top swimming pool and restaurant!
- Baiyoke Sky (my goodness.. they have up to 74 storeys!)
- Their serviced apartments are pretty too!

Later in the evening, baby went jogging at the canal while I was reading the travel guide that baby had borrowed from his company's library~
He had done his bit of research as well~~
Baby told me that he don't want too cheapo hotel, so ard 4 stars will be good..
That surprised me again.. hahaha.. coz mostly pple go bangkok will stay in 3 stars hotel.. coz they are reasonably cheap and comfy..
So I showed him all the 3 stars hotels that I researched on~

I shall not book the hotel so early now... coz that stupid SIA got promo right after I booked my tiger airway... The stupid SQ only cos $200+ inclusive of taxes for 1 pax...
argh...

13 Jun 09

Baby came to pick me up ard 12pm to eat brunch~
He brought me to dover hawker to try the wanton mee.. But I still think the wanton mee at JW st 51 Blk 505's much nicer~~
=)

After that I was a bit grumpy coz baby wanna go fishing again..
Coz it was still early so we went to Tiong Bahru Plaza to buy his prawns.. and I started become very grumpy..
Then I complained that he keeps going fishing.. nvr spend proper time with me etc..
And I grumbled that other pple's bf will accompany them for school etc...
Baby thought it was ridiculous coz my lecturer would spot him in class.. but it's a big lecture room and the lecturer wouldn't be bothered to check...
In the end baby see me so unhappy and gave into me!!
*super happy!*

He went to get 2 books (one on human anatomy and pathology, and the other on palm reading)
Later in class we chose the seats at the back of the room at one corner..
Then he got interested in knowing who were the ones that I had been telling him abt..
So I pointed them to him.. especially the scandalous pair... haha..
After that I was doing my mock test and after that listening to the lecturer go through the answers, while baby read his newspapers..

Once the going through of the mock test was done, I told baby that I am calling it a day..
hehe.. not so interested in staying to learn abt thermodynamics..
Baby was surprised that we learn that topic when his course didn't cover that...
Haha.. time for me to haolian again~~

Baby then decided to bring me to Bukit Timah (somewhere near KAP) where there is a forest trail where all the durians grow..
He wanted to try picking up some durians~ For the fun of it~ =)
So interesting~ Finally there is something different to do in Singapore~
We went into the forest and I was bitten 6 times by the stupid mosquitoes..
I was totally in the wrong outfit.. I was wearing a tank top and skirt + slippers...
Bet those mosquitoes were popping champagne when they saw me... (Fresh O+ blood)

After a while baby was sweating like mad.. and we still didn't managed to get any durians..
There were so many other people going round to pick durians..
Guess it's because of the rain earlier, so pple knew that the durians would drop and came to pick them...
There was once we heard a loud thup, and then a few uncles dashed towards a tree to pick up the durians..
Well.. it's not as if we were going to fight with them.. so don't know what's all the kiasu-ness was abt...
=___="

The sky started to get dark, so me and baby quickly leave the durian loop.. In case we lost our way in the forest trail..
We headed back to the car and quickly on the air con to full blast and totally enjoyed it!
We then drove past Bukit Timah Market and decided to have our dinner there~
Ordered so much food..
We had 5 chicken wings, chee kuay, char kuay tiao and oyster omelette, plus 2 glasses of soya milk with grass jelly and a glass of sugar cane juice~
*bloated*

Went back baby's place to rest.. too full to move abt...
he then started to read the palm-reading book and kept comparing it to my palm...
hahhaa.. so cute..
he is really interested into such stuff..

Later the night ard 8pm, Dragon papa jio us out to Bukit Panjang plaza..
Dragon papa's family and Adrian + Wife were at the Streets Cafe for dinner..
Adrian then indirectly revealed that his wife is 3 mths pregnant~~ COngrats to them~!
But they seemed worried when they saw how busy Dragon papa and his wife were when taking care of their 2 princesses...
Well.. seriously speaking.. I also have the fear of taking care of kids..
Coz I am not a person with patience..
But for Darren, he seemed to like kids a lot..

14 Jun 09

Baby woke me up at 10+am.. I was supposed to meet joyce lee to the pc fair in suntec at 2pm..
but later she decided not to go, so we will be meeting at 6pm in Clarke Quay..
It's the hen's outing for Yueting~~~
Her church wedding will be on 27th Jun 09~ So happy for her!

We went to blk 505 JW that hawker for brunch~
Baby wanna try the very-yummy-wanton-mee which I strongly recommended =)
The queue at the stall is long (as usual).. Baby tasted the wanton mee but he didn't seem to like it a lot.. coz the serving was small to him..
hahah... He always prefer big portions..
I was happily eating the wanton mee coz I seldom have the chance to eat it..
I tend to oversleep during weekends and by the time I woke up, the stall would have closed for the day.. =P

After that I went home to change my clothes and then I suggested baby to go fishing.. coz I think he will be very bored to wait till 6pm..
I knew that he had planned to go fishing at 2pm when I meet joyce...
So he bought some prawns from West coast and headed to labrador park.
It was rather crowded at the park.. there were a few events/outings going on...
We chose a spot under the tree and started fishing..

Baby had bought lychee, so I sat comfortably on the portable chair and peel the lychees~
Happened to met the fishball noodles vendor that used to sell at blk 491... he was there fishing with his 2 sons and 1 daughter..
After sometime, we saw the Star Virgo leaving harbourfront..
Baby suddenly ask me what I wanted to do or go on my birthday..
I told him that it's his duty to plan! and he laughed...
How could he not plan for my birthday right?? =P

Then he asked:"You want to go Star Virgo cruise or Bangkok?"
*Surprised*
I thought he was kidding me.. so I kept asking him if he is serious..
After he confirmed that he's not kidding, I chose Bangkok~~
HEhehe... I would love to go bkk again to shop!! I think it would be so much better than stuck on the cruise..
I was so surprised and kept asking him if he is joking...
=)
Yeah~! I am going bkk with baby on my birthday at his expense~!~!~
*Happy!!*

I always thought that baby is not the type of person who will plan things.. but now I slowly understand him liao..
He is so much like my papa... The type of guy who is more practical and will show his love through his actions.. not the type that show with words or surprises...
*love my baby~!*

I went to meet Yueting and joyce at clarke quay at 6+..
Yuhua was super late so the 3 of us went to Waraku in Central first..
The servings in waraku are so huge.. and we almost bloat to death...
They had changed their menu.. so they no longer have small and regular sizes... now it's all standard servings...
But the food is still of good quality and value for money!~

Ilona joined us later ard 8+pm.. then we proceeded to Haagen Daz for ice cream fondue~!
Soooo Yummy!~!

I reached home at 11pm..
I quickly went to check out tiger airways' promo tix to bkk..
But baby slept early so I couldn't discuss with him..
So i decided to book it on the next day after consulting Joyce regarding the tix fare..
